Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Invoice Maker — MapleFlow ("MapleFlow", "the app"), built and maintained by Temitope Ajiboye ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

If you use the app through Apple's App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies. Where these Terms conflict with Apple's EULA, Apple's EULA prevails for App Store–related matters.

License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use MapleFlow on Apple devices you own or control, for your own business or personal use, in accordance with these Terms and the App Store rules.

You may not:

  • copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the app's source code, except where such restrictions are prohibited by law;
  • circumvent, disable, or tamper with purchase validation or Pro entitlements;
  • use the app for any unlawful purpose, including creating fraudulent or misleading invoices or estimates.

Your Data and Responsibilities

MapleFlow stores your business data (clients, invoices, estimates, settings) locally on your device. You are responsible for:

  • the accuracy and lawfulness of the invoices, estimates, and other documents you create and send — including correct tax rates, tax registration numbers, and compliance with invoicing regulations that apply to your business and jurisdiction;
  • obtaining any consent needed to store your clients' contact details in the app;
  • backing up your data. Because data lives on your device and we operate no servers, we cannot recover data that is lost when a device is lost, reset, or the app is deleted. Use the app's export features and your device backups.

MapleFlow is a document tool, not an accounting, tax, or legal service. Nothing in the app constitutes tax, accounting, or legal advice.

Subscriptions & Purchases

MapleFlow is free to download and use with core features. MapleFlow Pro is offered as an optional auto-renewing subscription and/or one-time purchases through the App Store:

  • Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by region.
  • Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • Managing & cancelling. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period.
  • Free trials. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
  • Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Changes. We may change subscription pricing or features prospectively. Price changes for existing subscribers follow Apple's notice and consent process.

We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage entitlements, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

The app — including its design, code, templates, icons, and content — is owned by Temitope Ajiboye and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

You retain all rights to the content you create in the app (your invoices, estimates, logos, and business data). We claim no ownership of it and, since it never reaches our servers, we never possess it.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the app to create documents that are fraudulent, deceptive, or infringe the rights of others, or to interfere with or disrupt the app or the services it relies on (Apple, RevenueCat).

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT CALCULATIONS (INCLUDING TAX AND TOTALS) WILL BE SUITABLE FOR YOUR SPECIFIC LEGAL OR TAX OBLIGATIONS. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TEMITOPE AJIBOYE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS — ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR CAD $50 IF YOU PAID NOTHING. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITS ON LIABILITY, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED BY LAW.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the app, your violation of these Terms, or documents you create and send using the app.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) survive termination.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory protections of the laws of your place of residence.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
